Like many other couples who were forced to change their wedding plans, Emily & Adam decided to get married on their original wedding date and save the larger celebration for later.

They were married in the summer of 2020 in an intimate backyard ceremony. A year later, they began to feel the excitement of reaffirming their vows and celebrating safely with family & friends.

They enjoyed a relaxing morning with their closest friends & family at The Shinola Hotel.

This hotel has so many fun nooks for first look photos!

Then, they headed out on the town, chauffeured by our friends at The Detroit Bus Company.

It was really important to Emily & Adam that every one of their guests felt included. They achieved this by including both Jewish & Taiwanese traditions in their vow renewal.

Studio Terrain did a beautiful job with the florals! They created this GORGEOUS floral arch and put so much thought and detail into the table decor.

They loved that The Jam Handy is a blank space that allowed them to create such a unique celebration, but gave it a distinctly Detroit feel.

They used the outdoor space to their advantage, too, by providing lawn games for cocktail hour.

Their vow renewal ceremony was so sweet. It featured video from their original ceremony the year prior, speeches from their parents and siblings, and a heartfelt ‘thank you’ from Emily & Adam themselves.

And then came the meal…and what a meal it was! Eat Ann Arbor grilled on-site and brought out plate after plate of delicious food!

Then, it was time to party! DJ Jaime from Love Plus One Entertainment set the right mood!

Emily & Adam, thank you so much for allowing me to be part of your special day. I enjoyed meeting your loved ones so much!
