Jacqui & Tony have known each other since elementary school. After high school, they both went their separate ways…Tony to be a firefighter, Jacqui joined the Navy. During a visit home, Jacqui attended her town’s holiday parade. Her had seen Tony at the store the day prior and knew she wanted to get them together. Upon “bumping into each other” at the parade, they hit it off immediately. Almost five years later, here we are at their wedding!

Jacqui & Tony wanted to prioritize their guests’ comfort & experience at their wedding. Beyond that, their vibe was romantic, but relaxed. It was Memorial Day weekend, so we played off of a red, white, and blue color scheme, but elevated it to create the romantic atmosphere they desired. We wanted to include some nods to Tony’s firefighting career, but didn’t want to make it obvious, so they decided to stay at The Foundation Hotel, which used to be the Detroit Fire Station Headquarters. (The Eastern also used to be a Detroit Fire Station!)

Jacqui & Tony wanted to include their son in special ways throughout their wedding day. He enjoyed the day getting ready with his dad, stood up next to him in the ceremony, and enjoyed the games and food trucks fully! (More on those in a minute!)

The Detroit Foundation Hotel is a really beautiful hotel for a photoshoot!

This wedding had so many fun things going on!
On the patio, we had several lawn games, a lounge area to relax & chat, and a fun retro bar!
Beyond the patio was the Imperial Food Truck. Yum!!
Inside was dancing, a photo guest book, & a donut bar!! (I think these are the best donuts I’ve ever had!)
