Cynthia & Daniel had attended a wedding that I planned earlier at The Masonic Temple for their friends Angela & Graham. They really enjoyed themselves at the wedding and decided they wanted to hire me to ensure their wedding day went smoothly, all the details were addressed, and -most importantly- their guests enjoyed themselves as they had at their friend’s wedding!
Did I mention that they decided to hire me TWO WEEKS before their wedding? LOL After fangirling over Cynthia’s Cinderella Dooney & Bourke purse and discussing my upcoming Walt Disney World vacation, I had to say yes!
From the beginning of our time together, Cynthia & Dan emphasized they wanted a simple, yet beautiful event. They planned a smaller wedding with just about 50 guests at The Monarch Club, the rooftop venue of The Element Hotel. It has some gorgeous views, with the inside being a sight to behold!
Before the ceremony, they had a first look and photos with their best people around the city of Detroit.
The ceremony was intentional and meaningful to Cynthia & Daniel. They included close friends and family members via readings, their officiant, & attendants. They event planted a tree for their new home with dirt from both their parents’ gardens.
Fun Fact: The gorgeous reader above was the sister to a previous wedding I planned at St. John’s Inn! We sat next to each other at the rehearsal dinner and realized we’d worked together before.
Back to the wedding at hand…
A strolling buffet dinner allowed guests to mingle, chat, dance, & eat at their leisure. A great time was had by everyone!
