Elegant Blue & White Wedding at the Tower Building Ballroom in Jackson | Krissy & Cody

Krissy & Cody contacted me excited about planning their wedding but wanting someone to guide them in their decision-making. They wanted to be involved in the planning process, decisions, and design choices. They were just a little nervous that they would forget something, not know how to do something, or somehow their wedding would feel incomplete. I was able to act as an advisor for them and their wedding turned out great! It had the elegance they were looking for, capped off with great music and a packed dance floor!

I love when a couple decides to have a first look before the ceremony. Not only does it allow a lot of your wedding party photos to be taken before the ceremony as well, but it also gets you past any nervousness you have about being separated from your beloved on the wedding day! It takes a bit of the pressure off for the ceremony.

Although I am not personally a religious person, I do appreciate the beauty & reverence of churches and wedding traditions. St. Mary’s Star of the Sea in Jackson was gorgeous! I could not stop looking at the stained glass windows and artwork all around the chapel.

I always suggest getting photos at your ceremony location. This is a great place to get family groups together, just make sure everyone knows ahead of time to stay around after the ceremony ends. And don’t forget to sign your marriage license with your officiant & witnesses!

One challenge we faced with this wedding was that it was occurring during the Bright Walls Festival in Jackson. We were mostly worried about how this would affect driving and parking in the area. The city ensured us parking wouldn’t be an issue. In the end, it all worked out and I think the festival added a fun atmosphere outside of the venue!

Where Krissy & Cody’s vision shined brightest was at The Tower Building for the reception. They chose to DIY a lot of their decorations, which can get tricky, but it turned out great!
