Kate & Ari reached out 5 months before their wedding. They needed a new wedding planner to help them execute their wedding vision. There were a lot of wedding professionals and a lot of moving pieces coming together to make this day perfect, so it was important to them that their wedding planner communicated effectively with all parties involved.

To be honest, I was in love with their wedding look from the start! Our consultation went so well and I walked away hoping they’d choose me…and they did!

They wanted to incorporate aspects of Ari’s Jewish background into their ceremony and reception but still wanted it to feel personal. Ari’s parents walked him down the aisle toward their handmade copper chuppa, right behind their beautiful dog, Henri. They celebrated their marriage by breaking the glass, common in the Jewish tradition, but it was Kate, not Ari that did the breaking. Girl power!

I have seen so many weddings with whites, ivories, and muted colors. Kate & Ari went FULL BLAST with their color scheme, which was a nice change. Everyone commented on how fun and colorful the decor was. Unexpected pieces like cellophane draping on the ceiling and neon lights on the dessert table lent to the fun atmosphere.

They had a lot of out-of-town guests attend the wedding, so it was also important to them that they felt taken care of. I suggested they add my guest coordination services to their wedding planning package. I designed this super cute guide including how to get around Detroit and fun places to eat, drink, & shop.
