Morgan & Jordan like to have FUN. You can tell by the photos below how comfortable they are with each other. Their wedding definitely reflected that, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves!

Morgan reached out to me because despite planning so many fun things for their wedding, she was anxious about how it would all come together on the wedding day. She did not want to spend the day stressed about what was happening (or not happening) at the venue. She also expected me to provide guidance and make sure all the necessary details were in place in the weeks leading up to the wedding.

Their first look and wedding party photos were on the streets of Detroit and included a Detroit icon, Lafayette Coney Island!

Over at The Eastern, we were busy setting up their simple, yet gorgeous decor and important items. Most of our weddings include lots of color, so this simple black & white decor was something different for us. Something about the clean, modern lines made it feel very fresh and new!

After the wedding party took photos, they headed back to the hotel to sign their marriage license & the ketubah. It was such a good idea to have this private moment before the ceremony!

They opted to have their guests sit at tables for the ceremony, which made it feel more homey and intimate than a traditional ceremony setup. Plus, there was no room flip during cocktail hour. Guests were free to move among the spaces instead of having to stay on the patio while my team moved furniture!

Let’s talk about the food. OMG, all the food was fabulous!

Appetizers were provided by Mongers Provisions. A family member provided the challah.

Three food trucks provided dinner: El Taco Dojo, Bigalora, & Lazy Bones BBQ.

A sweet individual cookie cake & a smorgasbord of cookies from Detroit Cookie Company was the perfect sweet ending.

We helped set up and decorate the hora. After the ceremony and photos were finished, we replaced the hora with a sweetheart table! It was the perfect place for Morgan & Jordan to be the center of attention throughout the reception! (When they weren’t on the dance floor, that is!)
